PUBG 2022 roadmap revealed

PUBG: Battlegrounds Gamers got their first look at the game’s roadmap for 2022 this week to see what the developers have in store for this year. This includes a preview of new maps, new weapons, updates and fixes for different systems in pubg In addition to mentioning some of the content that is still under development and therefore not ready to talk about now. The pubg The developers have also warned that these schedules can change as well, so don’t be surprised if one thing or the other gets moved before it’s released.

Sanhok . Return

  • Sanhok will return to its original form
    • Sanhok is our oldest mini map and many players still enjoy it
    • Due to its age, it has seen a number of additional features and a major renovation
  • Some players like the revamped version but most players want to restore the original Sanhok
    • We have thought a lot about the long-standing requests and made the decision to reverse the map
    • The replay is in the final stage of stability and will be revealed in the near future
    • With the rollback, many of the added features will be removed but we’re deliberating on how to move forward with the original Sanhok look

New Weapon: 7.62mm Assault Rifle

  • In order to diversify the weapons, we are developing a new 7.62 mm caliber weapon
  • 7.62mm weapons have high DPS but are difficult to control
  • The new 7.62mm weapon in development has a relatively lower DPS but is easy to control, being sandwiched between Beryl (high damage, hard to control) and AKM (low damage, easier to control)

Improved training mode

  • Since the beginning of this year, we have been working on improving the training mode
  • In the current training mode, players can train their skills with weapons and vehicles.
  • With free play, more hands-on training programs are required.
    • Players will be able to practice PvP battle there
    • The addition of the shooting/sound training room in the last update was part of the effort
    • A 1vs1 training ground will be added where players can fight one-on-one
  • QoL updates are also in the pipeline:
    • Travel quickly inside the training grounds
    • Custom match training mode that allows players to train with friends

Paramo World Sub-Update

  • There are some areas of excessive advantage in the world, which will be adjusted to balance
  • We are constantly improving the balance of the terrain on the battlefields by making adjustments
  • We want to make sure there is a unique gameplay on every map
  • Paramo sub-update is scheduled for Q2.
    • Sub-updates of existing maps such as Miramar and Taego will also follow.

  • PUBG has inherently uncomfortable elements as a realistic Battle Royale rule, such as not being able to recover and boost items in the driver’s seat or having to guess the perfect timing for a cooked bomb.

New map: Kiki

  • LOOK AND FEEL: Kiki is a near-future city that has been destroyed by the elements. Serious storms, powerful floods and of course lost time contributed to the collapse of this once thriving city. Built on a tamed border, the lands around Kiki remain very much in nature with a mixture of rocky heights, flowery planes, and dense swamps with bits of 21st century civilization scattered throughout. It’s a battlefield unlike anything we’ve built before and we’re excited to see Kiki inhabit it again.
  • Unique Features: Kiki Town has the most verticality we’ve built in Battleground and is filled with interesting sniper’s nest-style points of interest, rooftops laden with emergency awnings, and buildings that can be scaled easily with the new Ascenders. This does not mean that the entire city can be explored. Taking lessons from Haven, not every building is fully playable, with individual floors, or sometimes just single rooms, open to play and shaded so that players on the ground can easily learn where snipers can fight.
  • In nature, our new swamp is completely unique to the Kiki, with ankle-deep water, and thick cover to allow disguised cat-and-mouse play without having to swim all over. We’re also looking forward to adding Airboat to improve mobility by land and sea. For those hoping for traditional PUBG gameplay, Kiki will also have plenty of field spaces for those famous battles that players enjoyed in Erangel and Miramar.
  • Features / Exclusive Content
    • Airboat: A vehicle specialized in land and sea transit. Its amazing benefit is balanced by less than ideal passenger coverage.
    • Ascenders: While in special areas on the map, players can use the ascendant to quickly ascend or descend over great distances.
    • Additional Features: After the release of Kiki, we will continue to add exclusive content to the map such as new weapons and vehicles

Weapon Mastery Repair

  • Increased max weapon mastery level to challenge players
  • Make players show off their achievements with weapon nameplates and additional rewards once players reach a certain mastery level
  • Think of different ways to present more meaningful stats/logs to make progressing a more rewarding experience

Vikendi – Born Again

  • Being one of the most visually distinct battlefields, Vikendi still has room for additional implementation of new features and areas for more essential gameplay moments. Therefore, we are planning a big production at the end of the year.
  • Although Vikendi offers unique visuals, it has room for improvement and new features in terms of core gameplay. And because we are well aware of this, we decided to remake Vikendi.

Arcade mode fix

  • No new mode has been added to Arcade since TDM
  • Simultaneous development of content and running LABS to test modes and features drew our attention away from Arcade mode
  • In the second half of the year, we plan to overhaul the Arcade mode to add more game types and a new reward system for players who enjoy playing Arcade.
